Dry Needling Available at SA Wellness Centre

What Can Dry Needling Do For You?

Dry needling is a different approach to treat different types of pain directly, also known as a trigger point. A dry needle is inserted into one of your trigger points with the goal of letting go of muscle tension and managing pain control.
Certified Physio and Massage Therapists use dry needling as a technique relieve pain and to improve function in their patients.

How fast are the benefits noticed?
Almost instantly. Some patients find relief and improved function as soon as they leave the consulting room.

Will it hurt when the needle is inserted?
The sensation is similar to a muscle cramp but very lightly. Healthy muscles usually experience very little to no pain at all.

What are the side effects?
Some patients experience soreness at the point of the needle, as well as minor bruising could occur. This often disappears within a day or two.

If you suffer from one or more of the following, dry needling may be able to help you:

  • BACK PAIN
  • NECK PAIN
  • SCIATICA
  • HEADACHES
  • PLANTAR FASCIITIS
  • HIP PAIN
  • FIBROMYALGIA
