Physiotherapy Tele-Health Consultations

SA Wellness Centre is pleased to be able to offer physiotherapy consultations to patients who are unable to attend the clinic by using our Telehealth service.

On 30th March, 2020 our Australian Government has announced Tele-Health consultations can be bulk-billed for all patients, in which case SA Wellness Centre will bulk-bill all patients for this service.

There are some instances where patients will still be required to attend the clinic. These might include but are not limited to chronic pain conditions, etc.

Telehealth consultations in Adelaide

Tele-health for Physiotherapy Appointments

Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic crisis, our physiotherapists will be performing some of the consultations via Telehealth. This is a system that allows patients (mainly the vulnerable), to remain isolated.

Our Telehealth consultations will deliver the same exceptional level of care as our in-clinic service, where our experienced team of physiotherapists will develop a tailored treatment plan designed to get clients.

With Telehealth, your preferred physiotherapist will contact you via video chat on your mobile phone or your computer.

Book Online now to request a Bulk-Billed Tele-Health Consultation with one of our Adelaide physiotherapists today.

Is my injury suitable for a Tele-health consultation?

We will send you an intake form to complete prior to your Telehealth consultation to allow you the opportunity to give us as much information possible about your injury and also serve as a suitability assessment for a Telehealth.

Most musculoskeletal injuries are suitable for Telehealth Physiotherapy consultations. If your physiotherapist determines that your injury or situation is not at all suitable for a Telehealth consultation, we will let you know prior to your consultation.

How will a physio diagnose or treat my injury without touching me?

At SA Wellness Centre a session would generally include manual therapy. While this is our preferred method of practice, if you are unable to attend your appointment due to illness or isolation, we are able to help you by educating you about your condition, identifying contributing factors from your lifestyle, as well as prescribing a structured exercise program and self-release techniques to help you with your injury management until we can see you in the clinic again.

As part of your Telehealth consultation, we can email you detailed exercise videos and descriptions, which can be conveniently accessed on your phone or computer. As with all our consultations, if you are ever unsure about an exercise that has been prescribed or any questions about your injury, please feel free to email your physio directly for confirmation or reassurance at any time.

How do I pay for a session?

Before your Telehealth session, one of our reception staff will contact you to arrange payment either over the phone using a credit card or you may pay using direct debit.

On 30th March, 2020 our Australian Government has announced Tele-Health consultations can be bulk-billed for all patients, in which case SA Wellness Centre will provide you with a copy of your payment for you to claim it through your medicare.
