Before becoming a registered physiotherapist, Heather worked as a registered Kinesiologist and fitness instructor. She holds a degree in Human Kinetics, specialising in Health and Fitness, from the University of British Columbia. Born in Hong Kong and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Heather frequently combines her expertise in exercise therapy with manual techniques to help clients manage musculoskeletal injuries and chronic pain.
Diagnosed with scoliosis at a young age, Heather was able to avoid surgery thanks to a combination of exercise therapy and a brace. This experience fuels her passion for using exercise therapy to help others with scoliosis.
Heather completed her DMA Pilates training with Craig Philips in Melbourne in 2016, and has since integrated Pilates exercises into her rehabilitation approach. In 2021, she also completed her 200-hour foundation Iyengar Yoga Teacher Training with Patrick Creelman in Hong Kong, and is currently participating in a 300-hour Iyengar Yoga teacher mentorship program.
Heather offers one-on-one rehabilitation exercise therapy as well as ergonomic assessments. Some common symptoms she can assist with include:
